Our Ethos Back To Top

The aim of the proprietors, the manager and the staff of Holly Tree Lodge is to provide a safe, caring and homely environment in which clients may maintain their individuality and independence. In so doing the clients will be able to enjoy a lifestyle which is as close as possible to that which they might enjoy in their own home.

Accommodation Back To Top

Holly Tree Lodge is a 27 bedded home which consists of 17 single bedrooms a number of which have en-suite facilities and five shared bedrooms, one of which has en-suite facilities. Each of our bedrooms are attractively decorated and furnished. The bedrooms are located over two floors .The upstairs bedrooms can be accessed by a shaft lift, to help less able individuals.

At Holly Tree Lodge we understand that entering a care setting can be a daunting process and to help individuals feel as relaxed and at home as possible we encourage our clients to bring items of furniture and personal possessions to make their rooms as homely as possible.

Holly Tree Lodge has a "Nurse Call" system. Call points are located in every bedroom as well as all around the home including corridors and communal areas. We also use wander mats for individuals who are unable to use the call bell. The mats plug into a call point and are activated when pressure is applied to them.

Catering Back To Top

At Holly Tree Lodge we provide a balanced and nutritious diet, which caters for each individuals needs. We have a four weekly rotating menu, which offers individuals a choice of meals. All our menus are reviewed on a regular basis. In addition to the main meals we also offer snacks and drinks throughout the day and night.

Each client is treated as an individual and his or her preferences are taken into account. If an individual would prefer an alternative to what is on offer, the catering staff will always endeavour to oblige.

All our catering staff are qualified and work in a modern, well-equipped professional environment.

Entertainment Back To Top

Each day we have different activities designed to stimulate and entertain our clients. These can vary from karaoke to dominoes. Each individual is given the opportunity to join in and we respect that some individuals would rather not participate. In addition to this we also have an organist that attends fortnightly and a fantastic singer / entertainer who comes along monthly.
